Winter Sunrise on Mt. Marcy in the Adirondack Mountains

Winter Sunrise on Mt. Marcy

Today’s sunrise on Mt. Marcy brightened my morning. The source of the great Hudson River, Lake Tear of the Clouds, is at 4,295 feet.

It has not been a good year for fans of winter snow sports in the Adirondack Mountains. I offer today’s featured photo of sunrise on Mt. Marcy to brighten the day for sad outdoor recreation enthusiasts.

Thank you. It was taken from my office, outside the Village of Lake Placid.
