Yesterday was such a stunning day in Lake Placid I almost felt sad summer is over. The sun was warm; 80 degrees when we left HQ for an afternoon hike. There was not a cloud in the Adirondack blue sky, the fall colors were popping, and the bugs weren’t biting. These are the days for hiking and trail running in the Adirondacks.
What a difference a day makes. The clouds blew in this morning and fall’s formerly blue background is gray.
