Adirondack Lifestyle Fall Foliage Report 09-15-2013

Adirondack Fall Foliage 9-15-13

I’ll call it 15% changed leaves.

It is time to welcome back the seasonal  Adirondack Lifestyle feature: the Adirondack Fall Foliage Cam.  Today marks the official acknowledgement that fall, Mother Nature’s  most audacious season, is underway and we’ll be watching.

Autumn in the Adirondacks is colorful and high energy. This is the time of year when Mother Nature steps out of her conservative green palette and pumps, and runs loose with outrageous hues of gold, red, purple, and orange. Some days are chilly, clear and intense, neon bright. They make the few warm, hazy golden days feel like well deserved rests on the road to winter.  Yes, in my book, fall is the beautiful mountain road that leads to the best time of year in the Adirondacks: winter.  And who doesn’t love it when the road there is almost as nice as the destination?

I’ll be posting (almost) daily photographs of the changes for fellow fans of the Adirondack lifestyle and mountain living.  Enjoy the trip!
