Summer Solstice in the Adirondacks

The morning bird songs seem louder and more melodic this morning. The crows were noisier and the puppy seemed a tad more wired than usual,  if that is possible.  I could feel it too - the day of the year with the possibility of having the most sunshine had arrived.  This  Solstice signifies the first day of summer,  an awesome time of year in the Adirondacks.  For  those of us who live in a part of the world where it is cold for more than half the year, 14 hours and 58 minutes of sunshine is no small event.

The best thing to do with all that first day of summer energy is get outside and play. Experience proves this plan of action works great for puppies and people alike. Time for a swim.

Happy Summer!
