Adirondack Lifestyle New Homestead Update

The roof goes on.

It has been a great Labor Day weekend in the Adirondacks. This year, instead of the celebratory last big summer bike ride or hike, Ed and I decided to put a roof on our new home. Once again, the weather cooperated, as it did for most of the past summer.

View from my office window.

The climbing gear was essential in order to complete the short side of the roof.

Work begins on the long side of the roof, over the office loft. I will be happy when the white birch post is covered for protection from the weather. How’s that for irony!?

I like the shape. It looks "contained." Do you have an illustration or a floor plan you could post, for those of us vicarious thrill seekers?
